Student Occupational Health
The department is responsible for assessing students’ health and fitness to train for nursing, midwifery and social work, prior to commencing their chosen course and during clinical placements.
Health Screening Assessments take the form of:
- Pre-course Health Assessment which requires students to complete two downloadable forms.
- Fitness to Train Certificate is issued to the School/College when the student is considered fit to attend clinical placements and clinics during their course.
- Erasmus (International Nursing) Students are all provided with a health screening assessment by a nurse to confirm that they are medically fit to attend placements.
