All University of Salford students may apply for accommodation, whether they are a new or returning student. Resident Life Support Officers/Resident Assistants/Senior Residents' Support provide assistance to students in University of Salford owned accommodation.

All our accommodation is within walking distance of the University. We provide a choice of:

• Single study bedrooms

• Limited number of flats for families with children

• Adapted rooms for students with special requirements

Resident Life Support Officers (RLSO)

Being away from home can be exciting and daunting at the same time, RLSO’s are there to help and support students by:

• Answering any questions they may have.

• Helping to resolve any problems or disputes.

• Responding to emergencies or welfare/pastoral care needs.

• Encouraging a harmonious environment for all students to ensure that their stay with the university is an enjoyable one.

• Providing a unique service; they are able to ensure students get the best out of accommodation and university life.

• Supporting students to organise an event or book the Pav lounge for a party/gathering.

• Liaising with management on a student’s behalf.

• Providing links between the student and any relevant university department.

• Refer students on to additional support if needed.
