Manchester Student Homes

Manchester Student Homes is a service that helps University students find privately rented accommodation. Students can search for accommodation via the Manchester Student Homes website and also get free, independent advice if they experience any difficulties during their tenancy.

The accommodation is managed by landlords, letting agencies and private halls of residence that are accredited and have signed up to The Manchester Student Homes Code of Standards. This is to ensure they provide good quality student accommodation which is managed to a high standard. A number of accredited private halls of residence also provide pastoral care and have onsite residential staff. Private landlords who have concerns about the wellbeing of their tenants are encouraged to contact Manchester Student Homes who will contact the University in question.

Manchester Student Homes provides a drop-in service where students can visit the office in Fallowfield and speak to a housing officer face to face. As well as providing expert housing advice, the service can also give advice and support if students have concerns regarding their safety or welfare whilst living off-campus.  Manchester Student Homes works with student support services at Salford University as one of the service’s partner universities as well as working in partnership with Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Police on issues affecting student safety and wellbeing.
