MMU Students Union

The MMU Students Union offers free, independent and impartial advice about issues which may be affecting students at MMU. A specialist unit, offering support and information, as well as providing representation for students. 

Funding and Benefits

The Manchester Metropolitan University Student's Union can provide advice and guidance about issues relating to funding and benefits, such as help with funding applications, and advising which welfare and disability benefits students may be able to receive.

Academic Issues

Independent and impartial advice can be given to students who are thinking of changing course or dropping out.  Advice can also be given on issues such as accusations of plagiarism, cheating or other disciplinary matters, as well as hearings and appeals.  

Debt and Money

Free guidance is available to students about dealing with priority and non-priority debts, budgeting, bank charges, and negotiating over tuition fees owed to the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Housing

The Manchester Metropolitan University Student's Union can provide advice and guidance about issues relating to housing, such as deposits, finding houses, problems with accommodation, and checking contracts.

The MMU Students Union are open from 9.30am - 4.00pm from Monday to Friday, excluding Tuesday when the Union is closed.
